Allison was born and raised in Northeast Tennessee where she earned her undergraduate degree in political science and criminal justice from East Tennessee State University. In 2018, Allison moved to Nashville to work at the TN State Legislature and attend the Nashville School of Law where she graduated in the top ten percent of her class.
While in law school, Allison was an active member of their Legal Aid Society. Allison devoted her free time to educating the community through the Street Law Clinic and providing pro bono assistance to help those with criminal convictions start over through the expungement process.
Allison has a wide range of experience in the legal field having worked as a Judicial Law Clerk for the Honorable Chancellor Anne C. Martin and as an associate attorney at the Choosing Justice Initiative.
Allison has spent her career advocating for clients in the criminal legal system through criminal defense, parole representation, and juvenile delinquency. Allison believes in client centered representation founded upon compassion and understanding. In her free time she likes to relax with a good book and spend time with her husband, Gavin, and her cats Poe and Raven!
